“Love isn’t confusing — being loved in the wrong language is.”

Some truths take years to say out loud —

like how a parent can love you deeply

and still leave marks you spend half your life trying to understand.

I am breathing because my father eat only once a day.

Not because he preferred it —

but because that’s how he kept our home going.

He cut down his own meals so money would stretch,

so my mother’s body had enough strength to carry a pregnancy to term,

so I could be born into a life he hoped would be safer than his.

There was no big drama around it.

No heroism.

Just a man doing what he had to.

And yet…

the same man who held the family together

also tried to control every corner of my life.

His worry came out as anger.

His fear came out as criticism.

His love came out as dominance.

And slowly, something inside me tightened —

the kind of inner distance you don’t have words for as a child.

That’s what we don’t talk about often:

how you can feel cared for and hurt at the same time.

How love can feed you and still leave bruises.

How internal rejection begins quietly,

long before we even realise we’re doing it.

Because when we reject a parent inside ourselves,

we reject a part of our own roots.

And the family system doesn’t allow gaps —

whatever we push away

returns through other doors.

For me, it looked like this:

I became the controlling mother I never wanted to be.

I chose a partner who controlled every part of my life.

I criticised myself the way he once criticised me.

I carried the same patterns I swore I’d never repeat.

Healing didn’t make him perfect.

It didn’t erase what hurt.

It simply helped me see the human behind the father —

the boy he once was,

the life he survived,

the fears he dragged into adulthood.

And from that place, I could finally take the love

without taking the wounds.

Hold the intention

without holding the pattern.

That’s when something in me settled —

like a room inside finally unlocked.

If this sits heavy in your chest…

if you’ve loved your parents deeply

and still carry pain because of them —

you don’t have to work through it alone.

I hold 1:1 spaces where your story can breathe safely,

where you can explore these inner distances gently and honestly.

And if you wish to hold spaces like this for others,

to do this work with depth and clarity,

explore my training programs.

You can reach me at +91 7016500451.

You deserve to feel whole in your own story —

without rejecting the parts you came from.
