When the womb remembers which your mind cannot

Every month, her body went through the same ritual.

Hope.

Waiting.

A small inner prayer she didn’t say out loud.

And then — blood.

Each cycle brought the same quiet collapse.

Not loud grief.

Not tears every time.

Just a familiar heaviness that settled in her chest and stayed.

When she came to me, she didn’t ask for guarantees.

And I didn’t offer any.

We didn’t talk about timelines.

Or success rates.

Or when it would happen.

We worked with her body.

Slowly.

Carefully.

Without forcing meaning.

And the body revealed something her mind had long forgotten.

An abortion she had when she was very young.

Before she had the language to understand what it meant.

Before she had the emotional capacity to grieve it.

Before she had permission to feel anything at all.

Her mind had moved on.

Her womb had not.

The memory wasn’t visual.

It wasn’t a story.

It was a holding.

A tightening.

A quiet place where life had once been interrupted — and never acknowledged.

As we stayed with her body, something softened.

There were no affirmations.

No reassurance.

Just presence.

Her breath changed.

Her belly warmed.

And for the first time, her womb felt seen — not judged, not rushed, not asked to produce.

Later, she said something very simple:

“I didn’t realise my body was still remembering.”

This is the work of womb healing.

Not fixing.

Not convincing.

Not manifesting.

Listening.

Because the womb remembers what the mind cannot carry.

And when that remembering is finally met with safety,

the body begins to reorganise itself — in its own time, in its own way.

This is the depth I hold inside my 1:1 womb healing sessions and my Womb Healing Practitioner Training —

learning how to listen to the body without agenda,

how to work with reproductive grief without bypassing,

and how to hold space where memory lives beyond words.
