The cost of waiting

No decision is ever free.

Even when you say “I’ll think about it later”,

you’re paying for it.

With your time.

Your focus.

Your energy.

Your life.

And the worst part is — most people don’t even realise the cost they’re bleeding every single day.

The cost of:

Waiting for the “right time”

Telling yourself you’ll heal when things settle down

Living the same old sob stories on repeat

Waking up to the same emptiness, hoping it’ll feel different tomorrow

It’s exhausting.

It’s not noble.

And it sure as hell isn’t free.

Everything you avoid, delay, or tolerate silently — costs you your peace, your joy, your aliveness.

And at some point, you’ve got to ask yourself: Is this story still worth the price I’m paying?

I’ve seen this in my own life.

I waited.

I rationalised.

I clung to my patterns because healing felt overwhelming.

And all it did was leave me depleted, bitter, and disconnected.

Until one day, the pain of staying the same became heavier than the fear of changing.

If you’re standing at that edge too — this is your sign.

Not because you need fixing.

Not because you’re broken.

But because you deserve better than survival mode.

Sometimes all it takes is a brave yes.
