2026, I’m Done With Big Promises

I’ve spent years making promises I couldn’t keep.

Big ones. Heavy ones.

“Lose weight.”

“Exercise every day.”

“Be the version of me everyone would admire.”

And every year, I failed. Every year, I procrastinated. Every year, I felt like I’d already lost.

Until I stopped trying to leap.

Until I noticed the small things.

The tiny acts that mattered more than grand goals.

Like eating my breakfast without scrolling through my phone.

Like looking in the mirror and letting myself smile for no reason.

Like holding the mug of tea in my hands and noticing its warmth.

Like letting a moment of quiet sit without filling it with tasks.

At first, these felt ridiculous.

So small, so insignificant.

But slowly… I noticed something.

These tiny pauses weren’t empty.

They were full of life.

They were small ways of saying: I exist. I matter. I am here.

I realized that living didn’t need to be a list of accomplishments.

Joy didn’t have to be earned.

Peace didn’t have to be fought for.

It was already here. Waiting for me to notice.

Some days, I still start with a big plan and fail.

And that’s okay.

I’ve learned that the bridge to myself isn’t built in leaps.

It’s built in tiny, steady steps.

A deep breath before replying to a message.

A moment of noticing the sunlight on my desk.

A choice to stop over-explaining, even when my mind screams to justify.

These are not small.

These are the gates to freedom.

These are how I return to myself.

And once I crossed that bridge for myself, I knew I could help others do the same.

If you’ve been trying to “fix yourself” with lists of resolutions, or carrying the weight of expectations, know this: you don’t have to.

You can start here.

With one tiny act of noticing. One small choice to honor yourself.

I hold 1:1 spaces and practitioner trainings for those ready to step gently into themselves.

To release the weight, reclaim presence, and rediscover life, one quiet moment at a time.
